I graduated from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Yes, that IS in the United States, in about the middle of the country.
I left the U of I with a degree in English and a minor in Math, having participated in the Writer's Workshop and Iowa Writing Program at Trinity College in
Dublin, Ireland. After college, I moved to Pasadena, California and became a bartender for a few years. From there, I met a man (John) who told me about working
in Japan, so I did some research of ESL programs and Japan and discovered the JET Programme. I applied, got in, and have lived in Hamamatsu, Japan since August, 2004.
